Retiring in 2008, Kate directed the Volunteer Center at United Way of Lancaster County for eleven years. In that position, she administered the Project Blueprint Minority Leadership Program, the Corporate Volunteer Network, and the Volunteer Solutions website. In addition, she directed the Council of Volunteer Coordinators, served as a member of many boards and committees, conducted extensive volunteer management training, lectured at Wilkes University, and provided instruction for American Institute of Banking. Her experience also includes marketing, advertising and public relations.
