2009-2010 Program Excellence Task Force

Working from January 2009-December 2010, the Program Excellence Task Force took the NRN open-enrollment programming from"good to great." They first developed Standards of Excellence for Workshop Training--the first ever standards developed for adult education seminars. The task force then benchmarked the NRN's core programming, the Essentials of Fundraising Series and the Nonprofit Management Certificate Program, against those standards, making necessary improvements.

During this process, the group learned that PROGRAM EXCELLENCE includes both course content and facilitator skill. Thus, they developed and piloted an RFP process for instructor recruitment purposes. Finally, they made recommendations for ensuring training relevance. Out of these recommendations, the 2011 Market Research Task Force was born.
